Error in Crook County School District Graduation Rate

The Oregon Department of Education has recently released graduation rate data for all Oregon schools.  This is important data for all our school personnel as it is a reflection of our goal to get all Crook County Students College or Career ready.  Unfortunately, we made an error in submitting our district’s data to ODE.  We have been working with representatives at ODE and have made the appropriate corrections; however, this is happening after the data had been released to various new outlets. Snow Survey Outreach

Latest field activity with Mike Kasberger – Director of Ochoco Irrigation District.  We conducted snow surveys and calibrated with the Snow Tel site at Ochoco Meadows near Walton Lake.

Student collected data verified 23.5 inches of snow with water content equivalent of 6.8 inches.  Still need a lot more to fill Ochoco Reservoir this year!

Special thanks to Mike Kasberger for hosting us!!

Central Oregon District FFA Skills Contest

I had the opportunity to take a group of our FFA members to the Central Oregon District FFA Skills Contest today in Redmond.  This contest is made up of 20 separate contests and each there are two members from each chapter allowed in each contest, while each member can compete in two separate contests.  There are a total of 14 competitors from the seven schools in the district in each contest.  Confused yet?  😉  Anyway, we had a number of members compete today, and I wanted to share some of the highlights of the event with you.
