The Youth Transition Program
“Building Skills for Better Outcomes After High School”
The Youth Transition Program (YTP) provides job training and instruction while eligible students are in school, and follow-up support services for up to one year out of the school, in order to help students get better jobs as young adults.
The program serves students between 16-21 years of age. Services are available for any eligible student who is part of the Crook County School District, including Crook County High School, Pioneer Alternative High School, Rimrock Adolescent Treatment Services, and COIC.
The YTP program works closely with Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation Services, to provide a comprehensive partnership for the students in the program. Ultimately, it becomes a strong partnership between the student and the school, the YTP Program, Vocational Rehabilitation, and the employer. This kind of collaboration provides a strong foundation for these young people as they begin transitioning into the job market.
